My jewel didn't have the pasta sauce on clearance as stated in a previous post.  But I will keep looking.

So I'm hoping someone is reading this blog and getting some pointers..  I have two followers Yippee...

This weeks PG Insert had a awesome  8.00 off two covergirl face products.

Eyeshadow is 3.99each at CVS.  Get two for free but add in a small filler under .50 to cover the overage. I paid 2.82 (taxes for 6 of them and a tool kit. ).

You can also get blush. they are currently Buy one get one 50%. I priced check them one is 5.29 , second is 2.64 . Free

I recommend getting them at CVS since they will count toward your beauty club amount for ECB's.

If you haven't caught the savings bug I don't know what stopping you now.

CVS Sale - Dove Products.

 If you received the RP Insert this weekend with the various hair products on the front.

Here is a sale idea if your up to it.  I regularly shop at CVS and rotate their ECB's. But here is something to get your started if you have not tried CVS.

My 1st suggestion is if you don't already have one sign up for the Extra Care Card, buy a green tag for your own reusable bag.  For every 4th scan of your leaf you receive 1ECB. So not only will you be saving the earth but saving you some money.  :) also sign up for the Beauty Club(look for slips near makeup) for every 50.00 you spend you receive 5.00 ECB. 
Even if you use a coupon on a beauty product it will record you spending at full price.  Also note that Beauty does not only apply to makeup, it includes a variety of items.

They are currently running a  Spend 15.00 get  5.00 ECB for Dove or Lever Products. Till Saturday

Ok if you got three inserts, you should have 3 BOGO Q for Dove Hair Care Products.
Therefore,
6 Bottles of Shampoo and/or Conditioner  would cost you OOP around 9.50
But you will receive 5.00 ECB Back.

If you only have one insert, here is another possible way to use it.
Buy 2 Dove Shampoo and/or Conditioner 6.00 - 3.00 BOGO Q
1 Dove Mens Body Wash 5.00 - 1.00 Q

Target 10/1

Sorry this post is coming up late.  I got quite busy on the weekend and yes I did get 7 inserts..
Here is my target trip this weekend, I had been saving up some Target Revlon coupons for 5.00 off 2 and  Manufacturer Revlon  Coupons for a $1.00 off one.  This is a stacking example. I was able to use one target Q and 2 Manufacturer Q..
No I don't need all these items, but they will be very useful as fillers for gifts. 

Trip consisted of :
2 Pairs of Halloween socks 1.00 each, 1 reusable tote 1.00, Fruit Roll ups 1.00,  1 bag of Chips Ahoy 1.00, 2 Transformers Movies 20.00 each, 14 Revlon beauty tools prices ranging 2.49 - 5.49.  OOP was $ 45.50 saving of $ 74.94. I didn't pay for any of the Revlon items. 

What does that mean????

Well. the design and set up is still in progress . Who knew it would be that complicated to start a blog.

Welcome one and all to Nikkochic Savings.  I do not claim to be a professional coupon shopper or teach courses.  But I can help with tips , show you my shopping trips and how they came to be.   Provide you with links , new clearance I came across and whatever I find to be an interesting savings.

I must admit I started my coupon craze(some say addiction) when I watched Extreme Couponers .. I sat there and said " I can do that, just not that extreme."    Now I have a mini stock pile for my household and my parents household.  Pic of my trunk to come soon.
Basic rules to start:

Subscribe to the Sunday paper (home deliveries receive all inserts first)
Saturday Red Eye was being delivered for free recently but they stop producing the Saturday edition, however they are claiming to still deliver the inserts. I get them sometimes.   Free
Hoy Weekend Edition also has inserts(sat. delivery) Free
Raza Friday edition (in newspaper stands) Free
Chicago Defender (every Wednesday) .50
Sun-Times (Friday) .75.
* Please note that only the Sunday paper has the full inserts all others are majority of the time partial. 
I personally will pick up any of the above(not the Sunday paper) whenever I come across them. why waste them LOL

Binder (I started with 3 inch binder, however have moved up to a old trapper keeper my son no longer uses)
Business card or trading card protectors(found at any office supply store)
I tried various tactics but find the above protectors to work the best.

Carry the coupon policies for the reg. stores you shop, you will be amazed how many cashier/associates are not trained correctly.

BIGGEST Rule don't be ashamed to pay with a pile of coupons , just think of all the extra items you can afford with your savings.
